Spurred by a monster performance from quarterback Brendan Sullivan, who threw for a career-high 265 passing yards and two touchdowns, Northwestern topped the Maryland Terrapins in a 33-27 win Saturday morning. At a chilly and sparsely-populated Ryan Field, the ‘Cats –– who were 14-point underdogs entering the game –– sacked Terrapins quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa six times. NU will take on Iowa next Saturday at Wrigley Field.
