Church stripped of gutters

An unknown offender stole three copper gutters from a Catholic church in the 1100 block of Washington Street, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The theft occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The down spout gutters were removed from the building. The gutters have a total value of approximately $1,000.

Theft from motor vehicle

An unknown offender stole $8 and a cell phone charger from an parked car in the 500 block of Sheridan Road, Parrott said.

The vehicle, a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria, was in a parking lot and was unlocked.
