Northwestern dropped a close match to UCLA 1-0 Thursday evening. The Bruins took early command of the pitch, with constant attacks culminating in a goal minutes before halftime. Despite a consistent defensive performance and renewed second-half offense, the ’Cats failed to capitalize on later chances. The Wildcats (5-8-3, 0-6-2 Big Ten) played their last home game of the season against USC Sunday, losing 2-1.
