Soli Grill, one of Evanston’s finest vegan restaurants, shut down after less than two years in the downtown area. 

The store, formerly located at 1709 Benson Ave., opened in October 2023 offering a variety of plant-based foods including sushi, salads, burgers, desserts and cocktails. 

The earthy decor of the restaurant matched the vibe of its food, decked out with vibrant green flora, mint walls and refreshing natural lighting.  

Soli Grill was a sister restaurant to Bat 17, offering vegan alternatives on their menu. 

Reviewers on Yelp raved about the service, friendly staff, tasty food and overall good vibe.

It is with a heavy heart that The Daily writes this memorial for a restaurant that gave a cheery eco-friendly spirit to the city of Evanston during its short time. However, those still looking for Soli Grill food can still find their menu items available at Bat 17, located on Benson Avenue.
