Mas Salud, a Latin fusion restaurant and bar at 720 Clark St., has permanently closed its doors with no prior public notice.
With a 15% discount for Northwestern students and faculty, the restaurant served Latin American plates like birria and al pastor tacos, as well as signature cocktails and dessert options.
Mas Salud was in business for almost two years after opening on April 28, 2023. Its closing follows the growing presence of Latin American eateries in Downtown Evanston, such as Dos Bros and Big Wig Tacos.
Mas Salud’s website sports no indication of its closed status and its phone number appears to be unreachable. Whether the restaurant plans on moving to another location or completely shutting down is unconfirmed.
TE’AMO, a boba and dessert bar, may be taking its place as suggested by posters on the closed building’s windows.
