Though Nov. 10 was supposed to be her day off, Harris was still taking calls in the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center as the sun went down. In addition to serving as the councilmember for Evanston’s 2nd Ward, she works a full-time job as the manager of student life and inclusion at Oakton College, is active with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and is a trustee for Evanston’s Second Baptist Church.
