Graduate student guard Boo Buie. Buie is looking to become Northwestern’s all-time leading scorer by the end of this season.

As Northwestern eyes its first ever back-to-back NCAA Tournaments berths, graduate student guard Boo Buie is on his own quest to etch his name in Wildcat basketball history.

In NU’s victory over Penn State on Jan. 10, a free throw in the second-half propelled Buie to fourth on the program’s all-time scoring list. He’s looking to pass John Shurna, a power forward for the ‘Cats from 2009 to 2012, who leads NU in career points with 2,038.

Buie, who was named First Team All-Big Ten last season after leading the ‘Cats to a second-place regular season conference finish, is also among the top five in program history in field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers, assists and games played.

The Daily created a tracker of Buie’s place in the NU men’s basketball record books. The interactive will update after each game.
