Blotter: Pizza delivery man robbed at gunpoint

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Panino’s Pizza delivery man Tuesday.

A 47-year-old Chicago man arrived at an empty home in the 2100 block of Foster Street to deliver a pizza, Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said. Two suspects wearing dark clothing approached the man. One pointed a gun to his head while the other searched through his pockets, Glew said.

The suspects took $500 in cash and the man’s wallet. No suspects have been identified, Glew said.

Chicago man reports stolen vehicle

A 42-year-old Evanston man reported his vehicle was stolen from a residential lot in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue.

The man left his vehicle locked in the lot from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Glew said. When he returned, the vehicle was missing. The lot was not under surveillance.

Police have not yet located the vehicle.
