Comedian Nathan Fielder to speak Saturday at Northwestern

Shane McKeon, Campus Editor

Nathan Fielder, the star of Comedy Central’s “Nathan for You,” will perform on campus Saturday as A&O Productions’ spring speaker.

Fielder plays a consultant who advises struggling businesses, often devising over-the-top, bizarre schemes to help attract customers. The show has run for three seasons on Comedy Central and has been renewed for a fourth.

Communication senior Eytan Boclin, A&O’s director of speakers, said a moderator will sit down with Fielder. In addition, Fielder will have students on stage and talk to them as well.

Boclin said Northwestern students have a “unique” sense of humor, and that he’s heard a lot of positive feedback about the announcement.

“Northwestern’s campus has a high comedy IQ,” he said. “If you give Northwestern’s campus a show like this, I think they would rise to it.”

Fielder will speak at Ryan Auditorium in the Technological Institute at 7 p.m. Tickets are sold out.
