Women get sweep, Men grab 1 of 2 (Tennis)

The Northwestern women’s tennis team might have dropped four spots in the national rankings, but it didn’t stop the Wildcats from dominating back-to-back dual matches this past weekend.

The No. 8 Cats took on both Alabama and Furman on Saturday and won both dual matches before dinnertime.

NU took on No. 53 Alabama first, winning 6-1 early in the day.

The Cats swept all three doubles matches, taking the doubles point. Senior Feriel Esseghir and freshman Georgia Rose started the Cats off with an 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot.
