After 34 games in over four months, Northwestern walked off the court for the final time this season following an 81-68 Big Ten Tournament loss to Purdue at the United Center on Thursday night. For senior forward Nick Martinelli, it was likely his final time on the floor for the Wildcats (15-19, 5-15 Big Ten). He led NU with a game-high 25 points, while junior guard Jayden Reid tacked on 19 points. After taking down Penn State and Indiana, the ’Cats couldn’t advance past the third round of the conference tournament.
