When I first got to Northwestern, I scoped out all the coffee shops in the area, looking for the perfect combination of good drinks and inspiring study areas. Colectivo Coffee quickly became a favorite.
Located on Church Street, Colectivo brings the 1960s back to life while offering an assortment of drinks, baked goods and all-day breakfast.
The interior features close-knit seating that’s perfect for collaboration. One side features a long booth-bench that adds proximity to the nostalgic atmosphere. The other has the ideal vantage point to see people strolling along the sidewalk through the large windows.
On warmer days, the walkway patio offers immersion into downtown Evanston. Customers can sip on drinks, like the iced pistachio matcha and the Pink Panther smoothie, from under a shady umbrella. The spot provides the perfect view to look at cars driving or pedestrians strolling along Sherman Avenue.
If you are looking for a place that offers good distractions or an intimate ambience, Colectivo is the place for you.
