The ’Cats lost to the Michigan Wolverines 80-58 on Thursday after an early lead evaporated after the half. Senior guard Caroline Lau’s six assists and 16 points were not enough to defeat the Wolverines, led by sophomore guard Olivia Olson, who recorded 21 points. After being up six points at the half, Northwestern was outscored by 17 points in the third quarter and 11 in the fourth. Players from both teams donned pink gear in support of breast cancer awareness.
