LF System remains prominent in the EDM universe and will be an act not to miss at this year’s Dillo Day, Mayfest said in a news release.

Electronic dance music duo LF System will be a mainstage performer for Dillo Day 2024, Mayfest Productions announced Wednesday.

The duo, Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan, is famous for their worldwide release of hit single “Afraid to Feel” in 2022. The hit samples from Silk’s “I Can’t Stop (Turning You On),” claiming its spot for eight consecutive weeks as No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. With this streak, Mayfest announced that it knew the group’s beat would be fitting for the 52nd annual Dillo Day.

“After my friends asked for a track ID every time I played ‘Afraid to Feel’ or any other similarly groovy LF System song, I knew this was an act we had to bring to campus,” said Elena Hubert, Mayfest’s talent buyer and former Daily staffer. LF System’s set will be chock full of contagious dance hits that can’t be missed.”

The artists have released tracks including “In My Head,” “Big Sax” and “Dancing Shoes (Take Me Higher),” while also remixing with Dom Dolla’s hit “Saving Up” and having EDM artist David Guetta remix their own track.

LF System remains prominent in the EDM universe and will be an act not to miss at this year’s Dillo Day, Mayfest said in the news release.

“Expect racing hearts, soaring spirits and memory-making as you lose yourself in their infectious beats,” said Mariam Fofana, a Mayfest general board member.

Registration for Dillo Day wristbands is open and due by May 16 with a pick-up date of May 17. Admission is free for Northwestern undergraduate students, $25 for undergraduate student guests, and $30 for graduate students and alumni.
