The 6-foot-4 guard started 29 of 32 games in his senior season with the Stags, averaging 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals. Leach shot 48.8% from the field, 35.4% from 3-point range and 89.5% from the charity stripe.
After sustaining a broken foot during his freshman year and a torn meniscus during his sophomore year, the Nyack, New York, native saw his minutes skyrocket in his fourth collegiate campaign, exceeding his junior year shooting average by more than ten points during his final season at Fairfield.
Leach took on a substantial share of the ball-handling responsibilities in Fairfield’s four-guard rotation, leading the Stags in scoring.
Leach will provide coach Collins’ squad with a new offensive weapon and potential starter following Boo Buie’s departure to the professional ranks as the team looks to regroup without its all-time leading scorer next season.
