Blotter: Bullet hole found in window, sign stolen from butterfly garden

A bullet hole was found in a window in an apartment in the 600 block of Hull Terrace on Monday. Police had reported the night prior to the same area for a report of shots fired, leading the police to believe they occured at the same time, according to Evanston police Cmdr. Brian Henry.

The value of the damage is unknown and the suspect is unknown.

Sign stolen from butterfly garden

A sign was stolen from the butterfly garden at Grosse Point Lighthouse. The sign, valued at over $800, was in the shape of a butterfly and outlined the history of the garden.

The sign was stolen between 7 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday from the 2600 block of Sheridan Road.

The police currently have no information about a suspect and there are no security cameras, Henry said.
