Police responded Thursday to a robbery at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in north Evanston, police said.

At about 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the business, 2636 Green Bay Rd., for an alarm, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said. When the officers arrived, they found the rear glass door had been smashed with a brick and the office area ransacked.

Dugan said the manager reported $775 stolen from the office cash box. Detectives will follow up and review footage from cameras on the premise, Dugan said.

Unauthorized vehicle entry

An Evanston woman found the inside of her vehicle in disarray after parking it Wednesday in south Evanston, police said.

The 76-year-old woman said she parked her 2012 Hyundai in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue on Wednesday at 5 p.m, Dugan said. When she returned at 6 p.m. the next day, she found its interior in disarray.

Nothing was missing from the car, and there were no signs of forced entry, Dugan said.
