Police arrested a Chicago man in connection with exposing himself to two girls at the McGaw YMCA, officials said Monday.

Tony Allen, 33, was charged with three felonies, including two counts of sexually exploiting a child, police said. Officials also found that Allen was previously a sex offender, but was not registered because he had not updated authorities to his current address, police said.

Two girls, ages 15 and 16, saw a man last month exposing himself and masturbating at the YMCA, 1000 Grove St., as they were using exercise equipment, officials said. The girls reported the incident to YMCA staff, during which the man ran away, police said.

With the help of staff, EPD juvenile detectives obtained surveillance video of the man, police said. Last week, a detective saw the man he recognized from the video and arrested him in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue, police said.

The Cook County state’s attorney’s office approved the felony charges against Allen two days after his arrest, officials said.

Allen is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Department of Corrections.
