Since the latest addition to Norris University Center’s dining options opened in January, Frontera Fresco has quickly become students’ favorite on-campus eatery. Conveniently located on the ground floor of the student center, the Mexican restaurant features plenty of delicious options from tamales to tortas (grilled Mexican sandwiches). The menu also includes breakfast items in the morning, as well as pastries, a soft-serve bar and a yogurt bar throughout the day. The restaurant, owned by celebrity chef Rick Bayless, also boasts a chips-and-guacamole station, where students can customize their own guacamole. The Daily is partial to the sun-dried tomatoes topping. Although the restaurant’s full menu closes at 7 p.m., students looking for a late-night snack can continue to order from a limited menu at Frontera until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, which still includes several favorite items, such as the quesadillas. — Sophia Bollag
