Hana Suckstorff: Introduction

In a past life, I must have been Italian. Probably during the Renaissance. Which would explain my seemingly arbitrary, inordinate fascination with the Italian Renaissance. I’m a senior History major with a European concentration and an Italian minor (naturally) and yes, I’m an unabashed dork. Normally I’m pretty mild-mannered, so I surprise people when I step onto the tennis court and try to emulate the Williams sisters’ aggressive play.

And I’m a Christian. I say this not to preach, but because it would be dishonest not to disclose something that colors my views on nearly everything, even without explicit reference to Jesus or God. You might be thinking, “Great, this girl hates gays and female reproductive rights.” But you’d be wrong. I like to think that like most people, I don’t fit neatly into the liberal/conservative dichotomy. Or you may end up thinking I do. I’ll let you decide for yourself.
