Worker finds Chi Phi back door open
A facility management staffer Monday found a back door open at 550 Lincoln St., the former house of Chi Phi fraternity, police said.
Police made contact with a worker at 10:16 a.m. who said he wanted them to check the building because he would be working there and was concerned about the open door. Officers searched the building and found no criminal activity, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said.
“I think someone just left the back door open accidentally,” McAleer said.
Chi Phi’s fraternity house closed in January 2009 after failing to comply with fire code laws.– EMILIA BARROSSE
