NU’s athletics marketing department has been working hard to make sure students know about the first-come, first-served policy. But free admission, a Saturday game and the vaunted visitors will create an unprecedented demand.
“I know if we turn away student No. 1,201, there will be some upset people, and there will be criticism,” said Chris Boyer, associate athletic director for external affairs.
Buying a general admission ticket won’t be an option — those have been sold out for weeks. If enough of your classmates beat you to the game, you’re out of luck.
