Student could receive fine, prison term at February trial
A judge postponed the court date Thursday for a Weinberg sophomore arrested outside University Library in the fall and charged with dealing and possession of drugs.
Maya T. Jensen was arrested by University Police in October and charged with four felonies: one count of delivery of marijuana 30 grams and under; one count of possession of marijuana over 30 grams; and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, in addition to a misdemeanor count of marijuana possession.
If convicted Jensen could face up to three years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
Jensen is scheduled to appear in Skokie Circuit Court on Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
