Northwestern baseball completed a series comeback against Michigan State on Sunday, beating the Spartans (10-19-0, 5-10-0 Big Ten) 8-6.
The ’Cats (12-15-1, 5-7-0 Big Ten) started off the weekend with a rough 5-1 loss on Friday in a game that saw Northwestern’s bats uncharacteristically slowed down. On Saturday, the ’Cats squeaked past on a walkoff single to win 10-9. They rode the momentum to win 8-6 on Sunday, holding off a two-run 9th inning scare. NU continues its schedule against UIC on Tuesday, before coming back to Evanston for a series against Purdue starting Friday.
