A Chicago man was arrested on charges of criminal trespass to a vehicle near the Chicago-Evanston border Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Members of the tactical unit of the Evanston Police Department were in the 1600 block of Jonquil Terrace in Chicago when they saw a vehicle, a Ford Escape, that was reported stolen out of Evanston, Dugan said. Two males walked away from the vehicle and were stopped by the police, Dugan added.

One man, an 18-year-old Chicago resident, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and is scheduled to appear in court June 22, police said. The other male detained is under the age of 18 and was also charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle.
