A school bus collided with a car around 6:40 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Central Park Avenue and Golf Road, police said.

No children were on the bus, Evanston police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The driver of the car, a 54-year-old Skokie man, was arrested in connection with driving under the influence, Parrott said.

The car driver was transported to Evanston Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Parrott said. The bus driver sustained no injuries, Parrott said.
