Cell phone taken by home guest

A cell phone was stolen from a home Tuesday evening near the Evanston-Wilmette border, according to police.

Someone took the cell phone between 7 and 7:10 p.m. from the residence in the 2500 block of Park Place, police said. The resident had allowed the person into his or her home, and the cell phone was unattended.
