Drunk man breaks Pace bus window
An Evanston man was arrested Sunday morning after he broke a Pace bus window, according to police.
Ronnie Lee, 55, kicked the front passenger door of the bus as he left it at about 12:45 p.m., Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. Lee, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue, shattered the glass of a window on the door.
Parrott said Lee was drunk and acting “belligerent” on the bus.
Lee was charged with criminal damage to property. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 31.
Two women steal nachos
Two women stole nachos early Tuesday morning from the 7-Eleven on Dodge Avenue, according to police.
At about 2:15 a.m., the women prepared about $5 worth of nachos and began eating them inside the store, 847 Dodge Ave., Parrott said.
They tried to pay with a Link Card, but it was declined, Parrott said. The women told the cashier they were going to find another way to pay but never returned.
Police have the license plate number of the car in which the women left.
Man steals fanny pack from delivery truck
A man stole a fanny pack from a delivery truck Monday morning near the Chicago-Evanston border, according to police.
Parrott said the man took the fanny pack while the driver of the truck was making a delivery between 10 and 10:40 a.m. in the 1700 block of Howard Street.
The fanny pack contained about $100, keys and a wallet, Parrott said.
Police described the man as black and having a slim build, weighing 130 to 160 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Detectives have video of the man and are investigating.
