Skokie police: Evanston teen arrested in Old Orchard shooting

An Evanston teen has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a boy near Old Orchard Mall last week, Skokie police said today.

Rayshawn Taylor, 17, shot the boy Friday night near the Skokie mall, 4999 Old Orchard Center, according to police. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Taylor was charged with one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.

Taylor, of the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue, is scheduled to appear in court May 31. His bond has been set at $250,000.
