Evanston business loses thousands in stolen goods
Someone stole several items from an Evanston business in the 2100 block of Greenleaf Street between Friday and Monday, Evanston Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.
The company owner reported burglars entered the storage area over the weekend and clipped a lock cable, Parrott said.
After removing the items, the thieves lifted the stolen items over a chain-link fence next to the parking lot and escaped, Parrott said.
They stole 10 20-foot ladders, six step ladders, three planks and a ladder dolly, valued at more than $4,000.
Police are still investigating the case.
