Evanston resident robbed by known man and woman
Acquaintances of an Evanston resident allegedly robbed him Thursday morning.
The man was in his backyard in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue when a man and woman he knew approached him, Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The two pulled a jacket over the resident’s head and started punching his head and body. They then took his cell phone, wallet and keys. The man later broke free and chased the 25-year-olds into Skokie as they fled west on Dempster Street.
The resident refused to seek medical attention and did not have visible physical injuries, Parrott said.
