Evanston resident tased, charged with resisting police officer
The Evanston Police Department arrested a 36-year-old Evanston resident Sunday in the 2300 block of Foster Street when responding to a domestic dispute.
EPD was told the subject possibly had a knife. Officers forced entry at the location to make contact with the subject, who resisted and was later tased by police. The subject was arrested, taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and resisting a police officer. The subject’s court date is set for Oct. 31, Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.
Evanston resident’s electronics stolen from home
A 25-year-old Evanston resident found her apartment in the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue broken into Monday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
An unlocked rear window of her residence is the suspected point of entry of the burglar, who remains unknown. Items taken include a laptop computer, a flat screen TV and a digital camera, Parrott said.
