An Evanston boy was attacked and robbed in west Evanston on Thursday.
The 14-year-old was walking in the 1700 block of Hovland Court just after noon when approximately 20 youths approached him from behind, Parrott said. Five of the individuals allegedly attacked the boy from behind. He was punched in the face and knocked to the ground, and told police the group took the headphones from around his neck and fled the area on foot.
The 14-year-old suffered minor facial injuries and was treated on the scene by paramedics. The headphones were worth approximately $20.
