Blotter 11/09: Drunk student in Sargent sent to hospital after CSO calls police

Police sent a Northwestern student to the hospital Saturday after a community service officer in Sargent Hall reported the student was drunk, police said.

The CSO called police at 12:15 a.m. and said the student, who was under 21, seemed intoxicated, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said. The officer also noticed the girl smelled strongly of alcohol.

When police arrived at Sargent, 2245 Sheridan Road, the student said she had consumed four or five shots of vodka, McAleer said. Police transported her to Evanston Hospital, 2650 Ridge Ave.
