Read banned books at Evanston Public Library

The Evanston Public Library Main Branch, 1703 Orrington Ave., invites readers of all ages to kick off Banned Books Week with a ReadOut on Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can read aloud from banned and challenged books in the Community Meeting Room. Banned Books Week officially starts Saturday and ends Oct. 2. The event is free, and those interested in reading can sign up online or call (847) 448-8621.
