Larry Suffredin for Cook County Commissioner

Cook County Commission Larry Suffredin filed petitions for re-election.Suffredin used to serve as Evanston’s lobbyist.

If re-elected, Suffredin will serve four more years on the Cook County Board of Commissioners, which sets policies and laws regarding public health, public safety, property and highways.

Jeff Schoenberg for Democratic Committeeman of Evanston Township

Sen. Schoenberg filed petitions for re-election as Democratic Committeeman of Evanston Township.

Schoenberg served as state representative for six terms, during which he served as appropriations chairman.

He was elected to the state senate in 2002 and now serves as the assistant majority leader.

He served as Democratic Committeeman while Barack Obama was running for president.

As committeeman, Schoenberg charted buses to bring 200 Evanston democratic activists to the old state capitol in Springfield to hear Obama’s declaration that he would run for presidency.

He also relocated the Democratic committee office to 821 Chicago Ave., what he says is a more visible location.
