A woman was robbed of her purse near Ryan Field around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to a report on the Northwestern Web site.
The woman, who is not affiliated with NU, was walking on Central Street and Jackson Avenue when a man approached her, struck her in the face and took her purse, according to the report.
The report said the man was described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants and a red baseball cap.
The woman did not require medical attention, according to the report.
