BREAKING: Sales-Griffin, Perkins win runoff

Neal Sales-Griffin beat Mark Crain in today’s runoff election for Associated Student Government president with 53.5 percent of the vote. He received 1,498 votes, Crain received 46.5 percent or 1,301 votes.

Sales-Griffin, a SESP junior, had received 40 percent of the vote in the initial election Tuesday. Crain, a Weinberg junior, had finished second of five candidates with 23 percent.

Nate Perkins will be the next student services vice president after receiving 58.7 percent of the vote in Thursday’s runoff. Perkins, a McCormick junior, garnered 1,533 votes compared to 41.3 percent, or 1,080 votes, of his opponent, Weinberg junior Hariharan ‘Harry’ Vijayaraghavan.

Perkins had received 46 percent on Tuesday against Vijayaraghavan.
