Daya will be the daytime headliner for the 54th Dillo Day, Mayfest Productions announced Thursday afternoon.
The pop singer is known for her hits that dominated the 2010s, including her debut single “Hide Away” and 2015 single “Sit Still, Look Pretty.”
She received further acclaim with the Grammy-winning song “Don’t Let Me Down,” a collaboration with electronic music duo “The Chainsmokers.”
“There’s a reason why I can still sing all of Daya’s hits word-for-word – her music is so nostalgic yet fresh and fun,” Communication junior and Mayfest Productions Executive Producer Keya Umesh said in a news release. “I’m so excited to live out my childhood dream seeing her perform, and I can’t wait to have her bring back the 2016 vibes we’ve been chasing.”
Daya’s sophomore album, “Til Every Petal Drops,” was released in 2025, and her new single “HUSH” dropped on streaming platforms April 24.
The singer is currently on her “Til Every Petal Drops” tour, with a stop in Illinois in July.
“As one of the nation’s largest student-run music festivals, Dillo Day has long been defined by artists who capture the spirit of their time— and Daya’s performance continues that tradition, promising a set that feels both timeless and perfectly in sync with the current moment,” the news release stated.
Dillo Day will take place May 16 at the Lakefill, and admission is free for Northwestern undergraduate students. Tickets must be reserved by May 14.
