DJ Fàájì will perform on For Members Only Stage at the 54th Dillo Day, the group announced Tuesday evening.
The Minneapolis-born DJ is known for his seamless blends of Afrobeats and amapiano tracks during his sets. His Nigerian heritage influences the music he includes in his sets.
DJ Fàájì is embarking on a small U.S. tour beginning May 8, with an additional performance in Chicago the day before Dillo Day.
DJ Fàájì has received acclaim on social media, garnering more than 2.6 million likes and more than 150,000 followers on TikTok.
His energetic sets have also received a lot of online attention, with his “FAAJI FREQUENCY 1.00 | LIVE AFROBEATS MIX” getting more than 200,000 views on YouTube.
Formerly known as Second Stage, For Members Only Stage was created in partnership with For Members Only, Northwestern’s Black student alliance, and founded in 2019 with the goal of highlighting Black artists.
Dillo Day will take place May 16 at the Lakefill, and admission is free for Northwestern undergraduate students. Tickets must be reserved by May 14.
