Tuesday Trivia Nights at Bob’s Pizza were a staple for many Northwestern undergraduate students and Evanston residents alike. With the pizza joint’s closure approaching at the end of the month, regular trivia night attendees will soon have to find new locations to test their knowledge of facts, history, pop culture and more.
Fortunately, the trivia scene is alive and well in Evanston, with several restaurants, bars and event spaces hosting regular trivia nights throughout the week.
Sketchbook Brewing Company — Sundays at 3 p.m.
Sketchbook Brewing Company hosts trivia in the taproom of the brewery’s Evanston location at 821 Chicago Ave. on Sundays at 3 p.m. Additional trivia events also take place the third Sunday of every month at 7 p.m.
Double Clutch Brewing Company — Mondays at 7 p.m.
At 2121 Ashland Ave., Double Clutch Brewing Company holds trivia on Mondays at 7 p.m. The first-place winner earns a $75 gift card, the second-place winner goes home with a growler of beer and the third-place winner receives “mystery junk” from the brewery and eatery, according to its website. Double Clutch’s weekly trivia is hosted by Stewpendous Productions, a Chicago-based entertainment business.
Evanston Pour — Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
Trivia nights at Evanston Pour begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and coincide with a special 5-7 p.m. happy hour. Patrons and trivia players can purchase $5 beers, ciders and seltzers from the coffee house and craft cocktail lounge during the two-hour window. Located at 528 Dempster St., Evanston Pour gives out prizes for the first, second and third place winners.
Prairie Moon — Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
Starting Oct. 28, Prairie Moon will host weekly trivia nights on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., presented by Go 4 It Entertainment. The restaurant is located at 1635 Chicago Ave. and awards prizes to the top three trivia winners.
Firehouse Grill — Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
Wednesday nights, beginning at 7 p.m., are trivia nights at Firehouse Grill. Trivia players can also enjoy select drinks and appetizers for $4 to $6 during the restaurant’s happy hour for two hours before the game begins. Firehouse Grill is located at 750 Chicago Ave.
Ridgeville Tavern — Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
Ridgeville Tavern offers weekly trivia with prizes on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Trivia categories include television, music, movies and sports at the bar, located at 1520 Sherman Ave. Ridgeville Tavern’s trivia is presented by Pub Trivia USA, a company that provides live trivia nights for restaurants and bars around the country.
The Fat Shallot — select Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The Fat Shallot hosts trivia on some Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at 2902 Central St. Upcoming trivia nights at the restaurant’s Evanston location will be on Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10.
Todoroki — Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
Todoroki will have a trivia night on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m., which will include discounted food and drinks in addition to prizes for the top three teams. The first-place team will win a $75 gift card to the sushi and hibachi restaurant, which is located at 526 Davis St.
Evanston SPACE — Thursdays at 7 p.m.
In the lobby of Evanston SPACE, teams can compete in pub trivia on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Evanston SPACE uses Whaddayaknow? Free Pub Trivia, a Chicago-based trivia game, and awards prizes to the top teams. The concert hall and venue are located at 1245 Chicago Ave.
