Man arrested in connection with domestic battery

A 23-year-old Evanston man was arrested Monday in connection with domestic battery in south Evanston.

The man and a 21-year-old woman from Chicago were involved in a verbal argument in the 1300 block of Seward Street, Glew said. An independent witness told police the man — who lives in the 1400 block of Cleveland Street — pushed the woman during the argument.

The man was taken into custody and charged with domestic battery in an insulting or provoking nature.
