Neon Trees will not be performing at A&O Blowout despite a report that says they are scheduled to visit Northwestern on Friday.

An article posted Tuesday morning on Broadway World said the band’s “First Things First” tour would include a performance at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston on Oct. 10.

However, A&O spokeswoman Emily Howell said Tuesday afternoon that Neon Trees will not be attending Blowout.

“At this time we are unable to provide any more details than already released about the artists for Blowout,” Howell said.

Big Sean has been confirmed as the headliner for the concert, but an opening act has yet to be announced. Bienen senior Lucas Messore will perform before the opening act.

A&O Blowout tickets went on sale Monday morning through the Norris Box Office. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
