One man is in custody and another has been hospitalized after a stabbing Thursday in south Evanston, police said.

A man stabbed another man in the 500 block of Howard Street at about 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The injured man, 36, was stabbed in his left leg with a knife. He was still in the hospital as of Friday afternoon, but has no life-threatening injuries, Parrott said.

Police have a 34-year-old man in custody, but have yet to file charges, Parrott said.
