The home of former U.S. Vice President Charles Dawes houses the Evanston History Center, 225 Greenwood St. Visitors continue to fill the decades-old building during its renovations, which include new wiring and geothermal heating, said Kris Hartzell, director of facilities.
Dawes served in office with U.S. President Calvin Coolidge from 1925 to 1929.
