Evanston-Skokie District 65 reports Internet, phone outage

Evanston-Skokie District 65 schools had no phone or Internet Thursday afternoon due to an issue with service provider Comcast. Phones were operating, however, at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center, according to an email from district spokesperson Pat Markham.

District 65 families received an automated phone call about the outage and were asked to call the district office to provide messages to a school principal.

The district outage came hours before a scheduled second technology town hall meeting at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center. The meetings were organized to gather opinions on school technology in advance of updating the D65’s three-year technology plan, according to the district’s website.
