Evanston Police spokesman: Investigators re-examining interviews in Harsha Maddula investigation

Evanston Police are taking a closer look at their interviews with students who may have crossed paths with Harsha Maddula before he went missing, Cmdr. Jay Parrott told The Daily this afternoon.

The McCormick sophomore’s body was found in Lake Michigan on Thursday evening. He had last been seen leaving an off-campus party early in the morning of Sept. 22.

In an email, Parrott said investigators are re-examining the interviews to construct a clearer timeline of Maddula’s movements before his disappearance. He said he does not know if any information is being withheld.

“Reviewing the interviews will give a better picture of this possibility,” Parrott said.
