Chicagoski Wieczór

The Polish American Student Alliance is holding a celebration of Polish culture on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wildcat Room of the Norris Student Center. This is the group’s third annual Polish culture night. It’s open to the public, and there promises to be food – including pierogi and schabowy – and dancing from the Polonia Ensemble.

The Facebook event advertises, “Discover authentic Polish artifacts. Live accordion music and singing. Learn useful Polish phrases and words. Polishize your name. Enjoy a plethora of food and desserts.”

“It’s going to be a lot of fun. Learn about Polish culture, eat Polish food and see a performance by a Polish ensemble,” Weinberg sophomore and event organizer David Kasjanski said.

ZBT Presents: Z Boston Tea Party

The 28 pledges of ZBT fraternity are hosting their first self-organized registered party Saturday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Zeta Beta Tau house (576 Lincoln St.). The theme: Z Boston Tea Party.

The Facebook event claims, “We’re gonna party like it’s 1773, so grab your favorite red, white, and blue garb … Dress patriotic, British, native, colonial or just … American.” The party is free and open to the public.

“It’s a really good way for people to have the most fun times of our life while supporting our founding fathers,” SESP freshman, ZBT pledge and partial event organizer Josh Parish said. “It’s going to be a triumphant party, just like the Boston Tea Party was a triumphant event.”

Delta Chi Rockstars and Groupies Dance Party

Following the theme of pledge-planned fraternity events, the 13 Delta Chi freshmen have organized their first registered party for 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday night at the Delta Chi house (619 Colfax St., next to Elder Residence Hall). The theme is Rockstars and Groupies.

The Facebook event says, “Live music will be followed by a DJ. So dress like a rock star, dress like a groupie, or dress like both!” There’s a suggested donation of $3, and proceeds will go to Dance Marathon.

“It’s going to be a really great time because it’s (going to be) an awesome dance party,” Delta Chi pledge and co-organizer Alejandro Valdivieso said. “It’s going to be a more interactive experience.”
