Grammy Award-winning singer at SPACE

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester will perform at Evanston SPACE, 1245 Chicago Ave., Monday at 8 p.m. with jazz singer and pianist Justin Hayford. Manchester co-wrote Kenny Loggin’s 1978 duet hit with Stevie Nicks, “Whenever I Call You Friend,” and was the first singer to have two movie themes nominated for Academy Awards. Hayford is a Chicago-based artist who specializes in reviving little-known songs from the 1930s and 1940s. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the concert and $40 for reserved table seating.
