Northwestern lost for the first time in 36 games, falling in its regular season finale 11-7 at No. 5 Penn.

Penn (13-1) controlled possession in the second half, beating NU 5-2 on draw controls and outshooting the team 10-4 in the second half.

Hilary Bowen and Meredith Frank scored hat tricks in the Wildcats (15-1) final non-conference matchup before the ALC tournament begins this weekend at Lakeside Field. NU will still be the top seed in the conference tournament and plays its first game Saturday afternoon.
